What Exactly Is the SANA Method?
SANA — Scalp Advanced Neuro Acupuncture — is a next-generation clinical protocol developed by Said Memon that uses precisely targeted needling of specific scalp zones to directly stimulate the cerebral cortex.
Unlike traditional acupuncture, which works through meridian pathways throughout the body, SANA is a neurological intervention. Duration: 30 min — Said Memon conducts a comprehensive neurological intake: full case history, functional assessment, postural analysis, reflex testing, and pain mapping. This is not a brief consultation — it is a clinical portrait of your nervous system.
Scalp Zone Mapping
Duration: 10 min — Using the SANA cortical atlas, Said identifies the specific scalp zones that correspond to your condition. Each zone is precisely measured and marked — a map drawn directly from your brain's functional anatomy.
Needle Placement
Duration: 15 min — Ultra-fine, sterile single-use needles are placed at precise angles in the identified zones. SANA uses a unique insertion technique — needles are threaded subcutaneously along the scalp surface to maximise cortical stimulation surface area.
Active Stimulation
Duration: 20 min — Needles are periodically stimulated — gently rotated at high frequency — while you perform targeted movements or exercises related to your condition. This movement-during-needling protocol amplifies cortical activation and accelerates neuroplastic change.
Rest & Integration
